The short version: Almost all app data stays on your own device. There are no accounts or passwords. Only questions sent to the AI sleep coach leave your device.

1. Who we are

RaisingSmall is an app for parents of children aged 0 to 4. The controller responsible for your data is Zdenka Lazokova, based in Amsterdam. Contact: raisingsmall.info@gmail.com.

2. What data we process

Stored locally on your device, not with us:

• Your child's nickname and birth month/year
• Your sleep, breastfeeding, pumping, stock and diary logs
• Your language, theme and favourite settings
• Your licence code

This data lives in your browser's or device's local storage. We have no access to it.

What may leave your device:

• AI sleep coach: your question is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a reply. Do not enter health or personal data.
• Payment: payments are handled by Gumroad. We receive no payment details; Gumroad processes them under its own privacy policy.
• Technical data: Vercel automatically processes limited technical data, such as an IP address, to deliver and secure the app and website.

3. The AI sleep coach

Your question is processed by Anthropic in the United States to generate a reply. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models, retains data only for a limited period under its current policy, and processes data under contractual safeguards for transfers outside the EU.

The coach gives sleep tips, not medical advice. For health concerns, contact your GP or child health clinic.

4. Privacy-friendly analytics

The RaisingSmall app uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics software such as Google Analytics. Our public website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregated page views, referrers, approximate country, device type and browser type. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and does not associate this data with an identifiable person or IP address. Local storage in the app is used only to make the app work.

5. Legal basis and retention

• AI sleep coach: your consent, given before your first question.
• App functionality: performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in running and securing the app.
• Local data: kept for as long as you keep it. You can erase it with “Delete all data” or by clearing app/browser data.

6. Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may withdraw consent at any time. For requests, email raisingsmall.info@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

7. Children, changes and contact

You, as the parent or carer, enter and manage data about your child. Do not enter data you do not want to share. We may update this policy; the date at the top identifies the current version.
